At Amwins Connect Administrators, we offer and administer COBRA & Maryland State Continuation coverage with ease. Amwins Connect Administrators processes make staying compliant simple so you can have one less headache.

COBRA (Federal): applies to groups with 20 or more employees.
Maryland State Extension: applies to groups with fewer than 20 employees (MD residents only)

COBRA

COBRA, also known as the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, came to fruition in 1986 and pairs with the 2010 Affordable Care Act to give extended, but temporary, coverage to terminated employees after a qualifying event has taken place. Employers with more than 20 employees are required by law to offer COBRA coverage to qualifying members.
