Regional Sales Manager - Baltimore (Hunt Valley Office)

The Regional Sales Manager - Baltimore for the Broker Sales Channel will lead the new business efforts in the assigned territory/region. The Regional Sales Manager will manage the Broker Sales Team to achieve the assigned revenue goals and sales activity objectives. The position will be responsible for collaboration and creation of the Team’s business plan and executing on the strategies, plans and programs.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meeting and/or exceeding new business and renewal sales revenue goals.
  • Develop (with collaboration) and execute a business plan to achieve stated goals.
  • Recruiting, Hiring and Training new business sales representatives and support staff.
  • Developing new and improving current broker relationships.
  • Group and public presentations to brokers, clients and industry leaders.
  • Introduction and support of all new GBS products and/or services.
  • Leadership participation in local and national industry associations.
  • Tracking and reporting of sales activity in assigned technologies (with support).
  • Take on the proper leadership role when resolving issues internal and external to GBS.
  • Attend and participate in the GBS meetings and programs as required.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, LICENSING & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4-year college degree
  • Life and Health License in all applicable states

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of Successful Sales and Sales Management experience
  • Detailed knowledge of the Employee Benefit Industry, especially Health Benefits
  • Extensive list of Broker relationships and proven expertise with Broker driven sales
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
